The Most Dangerous Street Tours in America

Lincoln, New Mexico, is mostly quiet now. However, echoes of its past may still be heard if one simply listens. In the 1870s alone, over 50 people were killed on this one-mile stretch of road. There were 44 shootings, 6 lynchings, 2 stabbings, and even a poisoning, all happening here, on what President Rutherford B. Hayes called “The Most Dangerous Street in America”.Lincoln Tours

This was the epicenter of the Lincoln County War, where members of the Murphy/Dolan faction fought against Tunstall/McSween and the Regulators. One of those Regulators would go on to become legend. Here in Lincoln is where Billy the Kid made his most famous escapes and became a mythical figure in the history of the Old West.

However, long before the Kid and his Pals fought here, murder and violence were just a part of everyday life for the local citizens. The Most Dangerous Street Tour in America guides you through the footsteps of the past, presenting you with the stories of death and violence that occurred on Lincoln’s thoroughfare. You will hear about Billy the Kid’s final escape, the murder of Sheriff Brady, gunfights, death at the Convento, the Big Killing, the mysterious murders of July 1880, the double hanging of William Wilson, and more. My Walking Tour is entirely outdoors, spanning the distance from the Visitors Center to the old Courthouse.

Using my unique experience as a combat veteran, as well as my in-depth research, I, as your guide, will bring to life the characters you know, such as Billy the Kid, together with many others that often get overlooked.  Escape with me for a moment back to the 1870s with a fun and entertaining living history experience.  Please contact Brandon for pricing and reservations.
