The Tall Man was a television series that aired in 1960. The show portrayed the lives of Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett in an intertwined manner. The actors who played these roles were Clu Gulager and Barry Sullivan respectively. The series blasted off in the fall of 1960 on NBC and rocked audiences in front of their televisions at home. The Revue Production and Lincoln Motion Picture companies produced two series that stretched out 75- 3o minute episodes from September 20, 1960 to September 1, 1962 when the show abruptly ended as quickly as Billy the Kid’s life ended.

The television series, Tall Man, was unfortunately cancelled due to political censorship. Despite being highly rated and crafted by the talented Samuel Peeples in the picturesque location of Arizona, it show became a victim of narrow-mindedness. The decision came under pressure from Congress who did not want a positive portrayal of Billy the Kid. However, fear not, for The Tall Man remains a cherished memory for fans of westerns and crime dramas alike. The full series is now available on Amazon at a reasonable price.
