The art of painting has stood the test of time, capturing moments and emotions that can transcend generations. Gregg’s historical paintings take this art form to the next level, bringing to life significant events, people, and places that have shaped our Billy the Kid world. With each stroke of the brush, Gregg tells a story that inspires and enlightens the viewer, transporting them to a different era. These paintings are not simply images on a canvas, they are portals to understanding the past and the present. Gregg’s work reminds us that we are part of a rich and interconnected history, and that our actions can make a difference in shaping the world of tomorrow. Through his paintings, Gregg invites us to marvel at the beauty and complexity of the human experience and to embrace the transformative power of art. Pals of Billy the Kid are proud to present the forbidden fruit to the eye, created by our Pal Gregg.
“When I was 10 years old, I was entranced by the stories of Billy the Kid that I heard in my hometown of Roswell, NM. As I grew older, I realized that there were missing pieces in the history of Billy’s life, especially when it came to the places that had been destroyed or lost to history. My passion for uncovering these truths grew as I delved deeper into the research. Even better, I found that I could share my love of history through my paintings. Painting brings me immense joy, especially when it comes to capturing the beauty of New Mexico. Through my artwork, I can bring to life the memories of Billy and capture the essence of this incredible state. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to express myself and share my joy with others.” -Gregg Burch
